Night of the Cooters is a Western sci-fi short film based on Howard Waldrop’s 1987 sci-fi novel of the same name. Executive produced by George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones creator) and directed by and starring Vincent D’Onofrio (Law and Order Criminal Intent, Daredevil, Hawkeye). The film won Best Sci-Fi at the 2022 LA Shorts festival and is currently screening at film festivals around the world.
Takeover is a feature-length action thriller starring multi-hyphenate actor and entertainer Quavo (Atlanta, Black-ish, Wash Me in the River). Filmed and set in Atlanta, Takeover tells the story of Guy Miller, a former criminal who’s in the process of trying to get his life back on track. However, his redemption story becomes derailed when illicit opportunities drag him back into the street racing scene. Billy Zane (Titanic) co-stars as Gamal, the leader of an international heist ring.
Takeover is written by acclaimed and world-renowned action screenwriter Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive, Vikings) and Brad Easton (Marvel’s Agent Carter) and is directed by Trioscope Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer Greg Jonkajtys.
The Liberator is a four-part dramatic action mini-series that premiered on Netflix in 2020. Written by Jeb Stuart (Die Hard, The Fugitive, Vikings: Valhalla), The Liberator takes place during World War II where maverick U.S. Army officer Felix Sparks and the 157th Infantry Regiment fought for over five hundred days alongside the Allied forces during the Italian campaign that culminated with the liberation of Dachau. Bradley James (Merlin, Damian) plays the lead role of Sparks.
Mary Margaret Road Grader is a short film based on the 1976 story by Howard Waldrop. Executive-produced by George R.R. Martin, the film depicts a future where Native Americans reclaim a portion of America and merge tribal traditions with a blend of retro white-trash culture, such as tractor pulls, keggers, and hostility. The machinery used by humans causes destruction to the land. While the men consume hemp, a solitary woman brings about a significant change. The film was shot in 2022 in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Enki Bilal's sci-fi graphic novel Monster is set to become a TV series. The adaptation will be co-produced by Trioscope and French production company Something Big. The story is set in a dystopian future where a plague has wiped out most of humanity and those who survive are genetically mutated. The plot follows a genetically enhanced detective as he investigates a series of murders in a society where human beings are considered inferior.
